Windy Hill Orchard, a popular apple orchard located in North Carolina, has excitedly announced the opening date for the upcoming 2023 season. According to the report by WSOC TV, visitors can mark their calendars for September 1st, as that is when the gates of Windy Hill Orchard will unlock once again. Known for its picturesque landscape, delightful apple picking experience, and delicious apple cider, the orchard attracts locals and tourists alike.
As visitors step foot on the sprawling grounds of Windy Hill Orchard, they are greeted by rows upon rows of apple trees laden with ripe, juicy fruits. With crisp autumn air filling the atmosphere, families can enjoy a day filled with apple picking adventures, creating cherished memories amidst the beautiful scenery. And the treat doesn’t end there. The orchard also offers its signature apple cider, freshly pressed on-site, allowing guests to savor the taste of locally produced goodness. With its upcoming opening date announced, Windy Hill Orchard is poised to welcome another successful season, promising joy and fulfillment to all who visit.
YORK, S.C. — Known for its apple cider doughnuts and hard ciders, Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill in York, South Carolina, is one of the area’s most popular fall destinations.
The orchard posted on its social media pages that it will open for the 2023 season on Aug. 17.
The farm stand will be open for to-go purchases from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
The cider bar will be open from 12 to 7 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The orchard expects to begin picking season (pick-your-own apples) in early September.
Reservations are required for apple picking and will be available through the orchard’s website in August.
