Woofie’s Of Annapolis Cuts Ribbon On Mobile Pet Care Business

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A new pet care business will cut the ribbon Thursday in Anne Arundel County.

Woofie’s of Annapolis offers mobile grooming, dog walking and daytime or overnight pet sitting.

Pasadena residents Amy and Conrad Manlapaz opened the business after changing careers.

Amy is a healthcare advisor and former nurse. Conrad is a retired federal police officer. They’re joined by General Manager Danielle Hernandez, who has over 15 years of experience in sales and operations in the pet industry.

“After many years in healthcare, we’ve witnessed the profound joy that pets bring into people’s lives,” Amy said in a Sept. 13 press release. “This inspired us to launch a business dedicated to providing high-quality pet services so others can experience the same positive impact that pets have on well-being.”

Services are available for all pets from dogs and cats to parrots and turtles. Woofie’s also offers 24/7 vet telehealth support through a partnership with Pet Vet Connection.

“Our deep love for animals is the driving force behind opening our Woofie’s location,” Amy said. “Their commitment to prioritizing pets and providing the highest standards of care aligns perfectly with our values.”

Woofie’s will serve Annapolis, Arnold, Crofton, Crownsville, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Gambrills, Gibson Island, Harwood, Mayo, Millersville, Pasadena and Riva.

“We’re thrilled to connect with the local community and their pets at our grand opening events and look forward to hosting additional activities to support the area,” Amy said in the release.

Woofie’s of Annapolis first opened in April, but it’s holding its grand opening festivities now.

Last Friday, the business held a ribbon-cutting at Quiet Waters Dog Park with the Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce.

Another ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce is on tap this Thursday at the Severna Park Taphouse.

There will be a “Yappy Hour” from 5 to 7 p.m. with complimentary appetizers provided and a cash bar available. Dogs are welcome.

Tickets are free for chamber members and $15 for non-members. More details are posted here.
