Will Ashley honored by fans as ‘Nation’s Son’ with billboard feature in South Korea
Kapuso actor Will Ashley earns his first international feature with an LED billboard in Seoul, South Korea, after topping a global fan voting platform.
The recognition comes after he emerged as the winner of the 154th Billboard Support Target on the global voting app “Idolpick”, a popular fan voting platform in South Korea that allows users to support their favorite stars through various polls and events. Winners often receive prizes such as billboards, subway ads, and features in news outlets.
Ashley secured the top spot in Idolpick’s “Pick Your Own Idol” poll for the fourth week of May, amassing over 100,000 votes. He not only led the international category but also topped the overall rankings, surpassing fellow Filipino celebrity Rabin Angeles, as well as K-pop stars BTS’ Jin of BTS, ENHYPEN’s Heeseung, and Kang Daniel.
Idolpick shared Will’s global moment on X, posting a video of the LED billboard displayed on a bustling Seoul street from June 5 to 7 (Korea Standard Time KST).
The digital ad featured highlights from his time as a housemate on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, along with a montage of his artistic journey—from his beginnings as a child star to his current rise in the industry.
The feature also honored him with the title “Nation’s Son of the Philippines”—a moniker coined by his fans in recognition of his rising popularity and the overwhelming support he receives both locally and internationally.
