Want to be a master gardener?

TEXARKANA, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) – The Bowie County Master Gardeners and Texas A&M-Texarkana’s Extended Education and Community Development Department will host the program “Getting Started with Seed Saving” on Monday, October 14, 2024, starting at 6:00 PM.

The event is free and open to the public. The class will take place in the University Building, Room 326. Reservations are not necessary.

Phyllis Ballard, a Bowie County Master Gardener and a Texas Master Naturalist, will present the program. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.

According to TAMUT, saving seeds from plants has many applications in gardening and horticulture. Saving seeds can be a fun way for gardeners to save money each growing season by reducing the need to purchase new seeds.
