Uber Launches Exciting Safari Experience For Animal Lovers

In an exciting new venture — and following the success of Uber Bubbles, Uber Boat (still amazes me that this is a thing) and Uber Balloon — the famous rideshare app is ready to launch Uber Safari!

Although it sounds like a ride to your ex’s neighbourhood, Uber Safari is actually a limited-edition function for Uber users visiting South Africa who are looking to experience a luxurious, eco-conscious safari, right off the app.

For those who are interested in the once-in-a-lifetime experience, guests can expect to be picked up in Cape Town, where they will be taken to South Africa’s Aquila Game Reserve.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a toast and lush lunch before jumping on a safari vehicle for a three-hour experience, guided by game rangers and field guides.

Guests can expect to see Africa’s big five, which includes lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants and African buffalos!

To lock in your spot all you gotta do is follow these six steps.

1. Download the Uber app on your smartphone and open the app.
2. Select the ‘Uber Safari’ icon from the home screen.
3. Read about Uber Safari and then choose an available date.
4. Enter your pickup and dropoff locations.
5. Make sure everything looks right and click ‘Reserve Uber Safari.’
6. If your trip is confirmed, you’ll receive an email letting you know.
