iPadOS 18 is almost here and it brings a few improvements and tweaks that you shouldn’t miss on the iPad Pro. Here are a few things you should try.
The iPad Pro has always been an invaluable work tool and creative companion, even more so with the latest model that runs on the M4 chip. It’s already an impressive device all by itself but with the upcoming release of its new operating system, the iPadOS 18, there are a few improvements and tweaks that can make the use of the new brand new iPad Pro a little more seamless and quicker. Here are a few things you should try out on the iPad Pro once iPadOS 18 comes out.

Power gaming
With the M4 Chip, the iPad Pro is already poised to give you a great gaming experience whether you’re on iPadOS 18 or not. But iPadOS 18 also comes with Game Mode which gives you reduced latency and an improved connection for your wireless controllers. It’s the best gaming experience you can get on an iPad thus far, so whole Honkai Star Rail is great, you can push the limits and enjoy a pretty great experience with AAA titles like Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
Editing ease
The iPad Pro has always been the perfect portable companion especially for video editors and graphic designers. This latest iPad Pro with the M4 chip and an Ultra Retina XDR display already makes it a powerful tool in your hands, not to mention its audio and video capability. Couple that with iPadOS 18’s simple yet welcome update to navigating in apps with the tab bar as well as the customisation options available like the control panel and working on the iPad flows a little easier.
Faster Math Notes
To be fair, you don’t need an iPad Pro to make use of the brand new Math Notes feature where you can simply write equations and they will be solved for you. But on an M4 iPad Pro, the computations are faster so you can scribble equations away and they’ll be solved for you in a jiffy.
Locked apps
iPadOS 18 now allows you to lock certain apps you don’t want others easily accessing. With an iPad Pro, these apps can be locked behind your Face ID instead of your fingerprint compared to other iPad models.
Continuity
Apple already does Continuity, or the ability to continue your work on another Apple device, very well. With the M4 iPad Pro and iOS 18, it’s more seamless and easier to do. Even when you actually need to link up the iPad with your MacBook or Mac desktop, it’s all easier and faster thanks to pro connectivity and iPadOS18.
