The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin features characters from both Nakaba Suzuki’s The Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga series. Four Knights of the Apocalypse‘s Tristan, the son of The Seven Deadly Sins‘ protagonists Meliodas and Elizabeth, is the main character. Players can collect characters from both series, “freely customize their fighting styles, and create their own unique adventures.

Netmarble and its subsidiary Netmarble F&C are developing The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, which is set to be released globally on consoles, PC, and phones in the second half of 2025. The planned release rollout was again confirmed in Netmarble’s latest earnings report. The game is part of Netmarble’s strategy of capitalizing on the popularity of anime IP, and joins Netmarble F&C’s prior successful The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, which passed 70 million downloads in February 2025.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin also follows Netmarble Neo’s Solo Leveling: Arise and comes before Netmarble Nexus’ upcoming Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi. Netmarble’s earnings report did not list Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Colossi among its 2025 releases, suggesting a release in 2026 or later.
