The CompanY marks 40 years of music and stories in Landmark concert
Four decades. Seventy-one music industry awards. Thirty albums. Thousands of performances. Countless memories. Asia’s premier vocal group The CompanY is celebrating an extraordinary 40-year journey in music with “CompanY40,” a major concert event happening on June 14 at The Theatre at Solaire.
Formed in July 1985 by alumni of the Ateneo College Glee Club, The CompanY began as background vocalists for prominent pop artists of the ‘80s. But it didn’t take long for them to step into the spotlight themselves, quickly becoming a force to reckon with in the Philippine music scene. Their blend of musical sophistication, tight harmonies and genre-bending style made them a household name and an enduring presence in the industry.

The group’s current members — Sweet Plantado-Tiongson (soprano), Annie Quintos (soprano/alto), OJ Mariano (tenor), and Moy Ortiz (tenor II/bass) — represent a polished, harmonious unit that exudes musicality, chemistry and an unmistakable charm honed by decades of collaboration and reinvention.
For 40 years, The CompanY has pushed the boundaries of vocal performance, fusing pop, jazz, R&B, folk, musical theater and contemporary a cappella into a rich and diverse sonic tapestry. Their extensive discography includes 30 studio albums and eight digital singles. With every new release, they’ve managed to stay ahead of the curve while retaining a sound that makes The CompanY distinctly and instantly recognizable.
Now, with “CompanY40,” the group is set to take audiences on an unforgettable journey through time, celebrating their greatest hits, introducing fresh new arrangements and reinterpreting fan favorites in a way only The CompanY can deliver.

The concert will be directed by Paolo Valenciano, whose visionary approach and cinematic style promise to elevate the celebration into a full-fledged production spectacle. Musical direction will be provided by Beth Martin, a longtime collaborator whose deep understanding of the group’s vocal dynamics ensures that every note and harmony will resonate with emotional power and technical precision.
“CompanY40 is not just a concert — it’s a love letter to the fans who have been with us throughout this journey,” shared Moy, one of the group’s founding members and musical architects. “It’s also a reaffirmation of our commitment to the art of vocal harmony, and to evolving with the times while honoring where we came from.”
Over the years, The CompanY has not only performed extensively in the Philippines, but has also proudly represented Filipino artistry on the international stage. They’ve shared the spotlight with global music icons such as Michael Bublé, Basia and David Benoit. Whether performing for intimate audiences or headlining large-scale concerts, The CompanY always brings warmth, elegance and technical brilliance to every stage they grace.

What sets them apart is their ability to bridge generations — singing timeless classics that appeal to older fans while embracing modern styles that attract younger listeners. Their adaptability, paired with a strong sense of identity, has allowed them to remain relevant across multiple eras of Philippine music.
From heartfelt ballads like Now That I Have You and Pakisabi Na Lang to the swing of Muntik Na Kitang Minahal and the smooth jazz of Everlasting Love, The CompanY’s catalog is filled with gems that have touched lives and defined moments for millions of listeners. Expect these songs — and many surprises — to take center stage on June 14.

The concert also promises to trace the evolution of The CompanY from its humble beginnings to its current status as an OPM institution. Under direk Paolo’s direction, fans can expect a nostalgic narrative that honors the group’s past while setting the tone for their next chapter. “CompanY40” is co-produced by Stages Production Specialists, Inc.
As the group stands on the cusp of a new decade, their passion remains as strong as ever. “We’re still here, still singing and still in love with what we do,” said Annie Quintos. “That’s the magic of The CompanY. We’ve grown together, evolved together and we’re still excited about what’s ahead.”
