When performing at TRNSMT Last night, July 9, the festival’s frontman Matty Healy The band announced mid-performance that, not only would they be taking Capaldi’s slot at the double event, but also performing their self-titled debut 2013 album in its entirety for its 10th Anniversary.
Healy said onstage: “So, on Saturday at Reading and Sunday at Leeds in celebration of 10 years of our debut album, The 1975 will be playing that album in full in support of our good friend Lewis Capaldi. If you’ve got tickets, good for you. If you haven’t, go and get them. We’ll see you there.”
Today (July 10) R&L has shared an updated version of its 2023 line-up poster which includes The 1975 in the position left vacant by Capaldi. Additionally, Knucks Has joined the bill at the position before the group.
