
Suspected drug pusher arrested in Iloilo buy-bust operation
A SUSPECTED drug pusher identified as alias Tamay was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Rosa-Laguna, Guimbal, Iloilo at 12:13 a.m. on June 8, 2025.
Police confiscated more or less 4.5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P30,600.
The suspect, 34, born in Negros Occidental, male, is single, a high school level dropout, and works as a maintenance staff.
According to the Guimbal Municipal Police Station (MPS), the operation resulted in the arrest of the suspect, a caretaker from Sta. Fe Lumina, Villa Arevalo, Iloilo City.
Police reported that the suspect was arrested after handing one sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.
Authorities recovered the following items from the suspect’s possession: one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (buy-bust item), one big heat-sealed sachet also containing suspected shabu (for possession), buy-bust money worth P1,400, and one black coin purse.
The inventory of seized items was conducted on-site and witnessed by Barangay Councilor Maria Gentapanan of Barangay Balantad Fruto, Guimbal, Iloilo, and media representative Rhuel Senon of Radyo Todo, Iloilo.
