Shift Up has released a free demo for the PC version of Stellar Blade ahead of the game’s launch on June 11 on Steam and Epic Games Store. The Stellar Blade demo gives players the opportunity to test out their PCs and see if they’re ready to run the game before launch.

Released on April 26, 2024, Stellar Blade quickly became a huge hit with over a million copies sold in its first two months, despite being a PlayStation 5-console exclusive at the time. The character-driven action game became Shift Up’s biggest release to date, allowing the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE developer to invest in its future projects, including a Stellar Blade sequel. The company also raised $320 million from investors through a successful Initial Public Offering. Before Shift Up places its focus on newer projects, Stellar Blade is heading to PC alongside a Complete Edition, which includes the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE collaboration DLC.

The official Twitter account for Stellar Blade confirmed that a free demo for the PC version is now available in nearly 250 regions around the world. The Stellar Blade demo includes the beginning of the first stage and the game’s first boss battle. After clearing the main demo’s content, an additional mode will unlock, allowing the player to fight a mid-boss encounter as a final sneak peek before the PC version’s full release. Once complete, players can carry over their save data from the Stellar Blade demo to the full game.

Stellar Blade Demo is Out Now on PC

What’s more, Shift Up revealed the laptop test specifications for Stellar Blade to give players an idea of the performance they can expect outside gaming PCs. Regarding graphics, the Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti 4 GB laptop GPU is the minimum-recommended GPU for players wanting to experience Stellar Blade at 1080p 60 FPS with low settings. For players wanting to enjoy Stellar Blade at 1440p 60 FPS or higher at medium settings, a device with the laptop version of the Nvidia RTX 3060 6 GB GPU or better is recommended. These GPUs are recommended alongside an eight-core CPU from recent Intel generations and 16 GB of RAM in order to fully support Stellar Blade’s impressive PC features.

Shift Up teases that the developers are working hard to deliver “even more exciting news.” It’s unclear what this news could entail for Stellar Blade, but it has already been confirmed that a collaboration between Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Stellar Blade will be held in the mobile game.
