Skiptown, a Dog Bar, Park and Pet Care Club Opens October 4

Skiptown, the one-of-a-kind dog bar, park and pet care club, will open its first Denver location to the public on Friday, Oct. 4.

Skiptown’s 50,000-square-foot facility is located in York Street Yards in the River North district at 3833 Steele Street. It combines an expansive, off-leash, turfed dog park with a coffee and alcohol bar along with a host of premium pet care services all under one roof.

Kestral Design Group was the primary architect for Skiptown’s new space and Redline Design Group out of Charlotte, NC consulted on the interior finishes.

A dog oasis and dreamland, Skiptown offers high-end pet services including daycare with enrichments, overnight boarding in luxury suites, full-service grooming and in-house dog training, all of which can be easily booked on Skiptown’s mobile app.

Skiptown’s expansive indoor and outdoor parks feature natural elements, a splash pad, shaded areas and ample seating for human guests, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It creates a social haven for both dogs and their parents to play, relax and enjoy.

“Denver loves their dogs and there’s a need for additional safe, off-leash environments for pups to play. We couldn’t be more excited to bring the Skiptown experience to Denver’s dog-loving community,” Meggie Williams, Skiptown’s founder and CEO, said.

“We are dog-focused in everything we do. From the irrigation lines under the turf that clean and cool our outdoor park to the way we best fit-match our pet care pups into playgroups based on personality, size and play style – Skiptown exists to elevate the pet care experience, making it easier for you and your dog to live your best lives. Our Denver location is a true reflection of our vision. The Skiptown magic brings joy to every dog and human who walks through our door.”

The 21+ off-leash bar & park will feature an extensive lineup of food and drink options in its 20,000-square-foot outdoor space. Skiptown’s caffeine and alcohol bar offers coffee service including a variety of espresso-based drinks, specialty lattes and cold brew through a local partnership with Queen City. The full-service beer, wine and cocktail bar will include over 20 draft beers from local breweries, like Ratio Beerworks and Second Dawn Brewing, along with specialty cocktails. Food trucks on-site will offer a rotating selection of local favorites.

To visit the park, pet parents can purchase day passes or choose from various membership options which provide unlimited bar & park access, discounts on pet care services and invitations to exclusive events. Founding memberships, available through Sunday, October 20, include additional special perks and the limited opportunity to have your dog’s portrait featured on the founding member mural at the facility.

With Skiptown’s easy-to-use app, pet parents can manage everything from booking daycare, grooming, boarding and training appointments to customizing their dog’s profile with their individualized needs. Additionally, parents receive detailed pup reports from each visit with photos and their dog’s best friends that day.

With safety and quality care at the heart of Skiptown’s operations, vaccination records are required for all dogs entering the facility. Pet parents can download the Skiptown app from the Apple and Android stores to get this process started.

Bar & park and pet care services are available from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Skiptown will host a grand opening event, celebrating the public opening of the facility, the weekend of October 18 – 20. Guests can expect complimentary swag, drink specials, food trucks and raffles for pet care, grooming, boarding and more.

The grand opening event will be the last chance for discounted VIP annual pricing and founding memberships (including a portrait of your pup in the Founding Member mural). To enter, guests should create a profile in the Skiptown app, upload their dog’s vaccination records or bring their records during their first visit.

The opening of the Denver location marks a milestone in Skiptown’s national expansion and follows the success of its flagship facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, which opened in 2020. Skiptown Atlanta is scheduled to open later this year.
