Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian on breakup rumors with Bianca Manalo

Senator Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian chose not to confirm or deny the rumors regarding a possible breakup with actress Bianca Manalo.

During a press session at “Kapihan sa Senado” on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the senator addressed questions about his relationship status.

The topic of his rumored split with Bianca was brought up towards the last part of the press briefing, and when directly asked about it, he simply stated, “Alam niyo naman hindi ako nagko-comment sa personal life ko.”

Before this, there were multiple attempts to inquire about Sen. Win’s relationship status.

One member of the press cheekily asked, “kung meron daw po kayong kaakap during the holidays.”

To this, Sen. Win playfully responded, “Secret!” and humorously added, “Nagkakasakit na nga ako, e!”

In a follow-up, Sen. Win was asked to clarify his previous statement: “Sir, so wala kayong kaakap, sir, kaya nagkakasakit?”

Sen. Win remained tight-lipped, replying, “No comment, no comment.”

Once again, Sen. Win said, “No comment.”

When asked if he was happy, Sen. Win replied, “Masaya naman ako parati, masaya naman ako as a person.”

Finally, when asked if something made his Christmas sad, he said, “No comment ako, no comment yan.”

how the rumors started

Rumors of a breakup arose when Sen. Win posted holiday photos with his family, but Bianca was absent.

For her part, Bianca chose to spend her 2024 holiday abroad, celebrating Christmas and New Year in Japan.

In December 2023, Manalo was caught in a controversy with her Magandang Dilag co-star Rob Gomez due to leaked screenshots of their alleged conversations, suggesting an affair.

Bianca called these “false rumors” and “unfounded accusations,” while Sen. Win, at that time, stated their relationship was “going strong.”
