The Sangguniang Kabataaan Federation of Santa Rita town is set to host the town’s first Kite Festival on May 31, Saturday at the Ecopark in Barangay San Isidro.
The festival also includes a Bird Exhibit expected to bring together enthusiasts and kite flyers in a day of celebration.
The Birds Exhibit and Free Flight Show will be held on May 31 in collaboration with Macaw Flyers Pilipinas.
The event is expected to showcase rare and exotic birds, including a spectacular free flight performance from participants.
The bird exhibit and show will run from 6:30 AM to 9 AM. It will feature colorful parrots, macaws and other birds.
Guests will also have the opportunity to interact with the birds.
The festivities will begin with a Color Fun Run scheduled at 4:30 AM.
A Zumba session follows at 6:30 AM, coinciding with the start of the bird show.
In the afternoon, a food fair opens at 3 PM, followed by a kite flying competition at 3:30 PM, street dance at 4 PM, and an acoustic night at PM to cap off the event.
Organizers encourage everyone to bring their families and friends. Admission is free.
