PSA-Davao Boosts National ID Registration Mobile Caravans

THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office-Davao Region has intensified its efforts to provide accessible National ID registration services across the region through mobile caravans. 

This initiative aims to reach underserved communities, reducing the need for residents to travel long distances to registration centers. By bringing services directly to barangays, the PSA hopes that more Filipinos obtain their National IDs, essential for accessing government services, financial inclusion, and official transactions.

In 2024, PSA-Davao registered over 4.5 million individuals, nearly reaching its target of 4.66 million registrations. 

Davao del Norte achieved 100.2 percent of its target, while Davao del Sur reached 95.8 percent. These achievements reflect the dedication of local government units, partner agencies, and PSA personnel in facilitating the registration process.

In addition to the mobile caravans, the PSA has launched the “Rehistro Bulilit” campaign to encourage the registration of children aged one to four years. 

As of October 29, 2024, the campaign has successfully registered 1,612 children across the region, contributing to the national goal of 51,168 registrations.

To further enhance accessibility, PSA-Davao has implemented real-time paper-based National IDs, allowing registrants to receive their IDs immediately after registration.

As of March 31, 2025, over 140,000 paper IDs have been issued in Davao de Oro, with Nabunturan leading the province in the number of deliveries.

Despite these advancements, challenges remain in reaching all eligible individuals. 

Areas such as Compostela, Monkayo, and Pantukan in Davao de Oro have reported higher numbers of unregistered individuals, highlighting the need for continued outreach and targeted efforts.

The PSA encourages all eligible Filipinos to take advantage of the ongoing National ID caravan opportunities and register for the National ID System. The caravan will continue to visit different areas, providing residents with access to a simple and convenient process for obtaining their National IDs. DEF
