PRO-3 shows readiness on disaster response

The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) has shown its disaster and emergency response capabilities during

a nationwide inspection conducted by the Philippine National Police on Wednesday, April 21.

The PRO 3 showed its preparedness during the Simultaneous Showdown Inspection of PNP Disaster Response Equipment Capabilities led by PNP Chief General Rommel Marbil.

Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo, PRO-3 director, led the inspection and presentation of the regional police’s capability to respond swiftly and effectively to natural disasters and emergencies.

Among the equipment showcased were rubber boats, life vests, medical kits, portable lighting systems, communication devices, and other tools used in search and rescue operations.

“Ang kahandaan ng ating kapulisan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa dami at kalidad ng kagamitan, kundi higit sa lahat, sa kasanayan, disiplina, at dedikasyon ng bawat pulis na handang tumugon sa tawag ng serbisyo para sa bayan at para sa buhay,” Fajardo said.

The inspection is in line with the directive of President Marcos to enhance the disaster response capacities of government agencies under the Bagong Pilipinas governance framework.

Fajardo said the PRO-3 “remains committed to build disaster-resilient communities through continuous training, and proper maintenance of equipment to ensure prompt and effective response in times of crisis.

The activity was held simultaneously across all PNP regional offices, under the disaster preparedness campaign “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, ang Gusto ng Pulis: Ligtas Ka!”.
