Tomoyuki Yamashita was hanged and later buried at the Japanese cemetery near the Los Baños Prison Camp in 1946. His remains were moved to Tama Reien Cemetery, Fuchu Tokyo in the following year.

Yamashita treasure or tons of gold stolen from Southeast Asian nations by Imperial Japanese forces during World War II and supposedly hidden in caves, tunnels, or underground complexes in different cities in the Philippines.
