PB pabor nga solar power project sa Dumanjug ipaagi

Giaprobahan sa Cebu Provincial Board ang usa ka resolusyon nga nagpaluyo sa lakang sa kompanya sa renewable energy sa Espanya nga Acciona Energia nga direktang makigtambayayong sa Lungsod sa Dumanjug alang sa usa ka solar power project, imbes nga ipadayon ang ilang naunang joint venture sa Kagamhanan sa Probinsiya sa Sugbo.

Ang resolusyon nga gisulat ni 6th District Board Member Glenn Anthony Soco nga nag-ulohan, “Resolution supporting Acciona Energia’s change in the partnership direction with the province of Cebu to directly partner with municipality of Dumanjug under a build-operate-transfer agreement,” giaprobahan sa board atol sa ilang regular session niadtong Lunes, Hunyo 2, 2025.

“Acciona Energia has expressed its intent to change its partnership direction in pursuing the project by directly partnering with Municipality of Dumanjug under a Build-Transfer-Operate arrangement,” mabasa ang usa ka bahin sa resolusyon.

Ang Acciona sa sinugdan nisulod sa usa ka joint venture uban sa Probinsiya sa Sugbo alang sa pagtukod sa usa ka 150-megawatt nga solar power plant sa 187-ektarya nga luna sa Lungsod sa Daanbantayan.

Human niadto, ang kompanya nipadayag sab sa ilang interes sa pagtukod og susamang proyekto sa Dumanjug ubos sa Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) nga kasabutan direkta sa maong local government unit (LGU).

“Owing to the intent to change in partnership direction, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Cebu fully supports the broader initiative to empower municipalities under the jurisdiction of the Province of Cebu to establish their own economic enterprise, thereby enhancing their capacity to generate local revenue,” tipik sa resolusyon.

“Si Mayor Gungun Gica didto sab by coincidence sa ECC,” dugang ni Soco.

Gipasiugda ni Soco nga bisan pa og aduna nay kasamtangang pakigtambayayong ang Acciona sa Probinsiya, aduna silay katungod sa pag-usab sa ilang pamaagi sa pagpatuman.

“Yes, nakig-partner sila with the Cebu Provincial Government. Ila ra ni. You can ask them but ila ra ni nga katungod. “Would the author cite some insights as to why it will not be definite with that of Daanbantayan solar farm which is with the private company and the Provincial Government? May we know if there is a problem with the setup, so that we resort to a direct-LGU partnership?” pangutana ni Caminero.

Gitubag ni Soco nga ang Acciona igo ra nga nagpadayag sa ilang gusto atol sa miting sa ECC ug nga wala maghisgot og mga problema sa orihinal nga kasabutan.

“If there are any concerns why there is a change of direction but including the last Economic Enterprise Council (EEC) Meeting held last May 20 Mr. Chair, the proponent Acciona Energia expressly just simplify this intention to deal directly with Dumanjug, the municipality of Dumanjug, Mayor Gungun Gica was also there present by ‘coincidence’ in the ECC,” matod ni Soco sa iyang tubag ni Caminero.

Gipasiugda pa niya ang kaimportante sa pagpadayon sa pagpaluyo sa mga pagbubo og puhonan nga sama niini sa Sugbo.
