Pampanga remains MPOX-free
Pampanga reported zero cases of Monkeypox (MPOX) cases, Dr. Dax Tidula, Provincial Health Officer, told the media on Monday.
The Provincial Health Office urged the public to remain vigilant and follow preventive measures to avoid the spread of MPOX.
Among the recommended measures are avoiding skin-to-skin contact and crowded places, ensuring proper ventilation in indoor space, sanitizing shared items before and after use, avoiding sharing or borrowing personal items and regular hand washing and sanitization.
Tidula said that people with weak or compromised immune systems are prone to infection.
He added people with medical conditions should take extra precautions.
People who think they may have been in contact with infected individuals are advised to seek immediate medical attention.
Tidula emphasized that public awareness and adherence to health protocols are important to protect communities from the threat of MPOX.
