Filipino Olympian Eumir Marcial is back in the headlines, not for his accomplishments in boxing, but due to personal controversies arising from his wife’s allegations of infidelity and abuse.
Princess Jenniel Galarpe Marcial, the wife of Eumir, publicly addressed her husband’s alleged infidelity and abuse within their marriage in an extensive Facebook post on Friday, January 10, 2025.
Princess shared two photos: the first appeared to capture a violent altercation between her and the mistress, with Eumir attempting to separate them; the second photo was of their wedding rings.
The caption of her post read, published as is, “Hi everyone! I hope the holiday season has brought you some peace and clarity.
“So much has happened in the past few months. I have had to deal with such difficult events in my personal life that took a toll on my mental and emotional health.
“Particularly, things in my marriage with Eumir that I may have kept out of the public.
“I feel like I owe it to myself to share the truth to everyone who has been there from the very beginning of our relationship, who witnessed our marriage, until now that it has been deeply wounded me by it, 14 years later.”
Princess further announced her decision to take legal action and provide evidence to back her accusations of her husband’s “sickening love affair.”

In her post, Princess stated that she found Eumir with his alleged mistress, identified as Jessa Santos, at a condominium in Pasay City in October 2024, shortly after the Paris Olympics. Following the incident, they were “temporarily detained” for five days.
She recalled, “I caught Eumir having an affair in October last year. I, along with my sister, have personally caught them inside an Airbnb condominium in Pasay where we had them both arrested at a police station.
“Eumir and his mistress, Jessa both had to be temporarily detained for 5 days.
“Despite some of my family’s strong disapproval, I still gave Eumir multiple chances to make amends with our marriage, putting into consideration all that we have gone through and the difficult things we have survived as a couple.
“As his wife, I felt then that I still owe Eumir the responsibility to forgive him so I permitted his release by signing an affidavit of desistance while his mistress signed the compromise agreement thinking Eumir would take this chance to correct his mistake and do better.
“But what I got instead was him further manipulating me.”
Princess claimed that Eumir continued his infidelity despite attempts to reconcile, using their joint savings to build a house with his alleged mistress.
She continued, “Little did I know that what started as a small act quickly grew to a sickening love affair with his young mistress from his hometown in Zamboanga City.
“Currently, I’ve managed to maintain some correspondence with some of our mutual and trusted friends in Zamboanga City where they alluded that Eumir and his mistress have decided to live together.
“Apparently, he withdrew all our savings and used the money to construct a house for him and his mistress in Zamboanga. I also have friends who have personally seen them together.
“Unfortunately for legal reasons, we cannot release any of the evidence we have gathered to the public but they will be submitted instead to the court who we will let decide about the outcome of the case.”
EUMIR MARCIAL’s WIFE ENDS RELATIONSHIP
Princess disclosed that she has ended her relationship with Eumir because of manipulation, emotional and physical abuse, and threats to her safety.
She said, “For these obvious reasons, I had to go on separate ways with Eumir and severed all sources of communication with him after all the trauma, manipulation, emotional stress, physical abuse, and psychological torment that I had to endure these past few months and throughout our years of being together.
“As some of you may also know, I have been Eumir’s brand manager for the longest time, sacrificing my career to help build his.
“With this, I have also received active threats from Eumir saying he will ensure that I can no longer step in America nor get anything from our separation.”
Although Princess avoided elaborating on other incidents because of her ongoing court case, she stated that she went public with the issue to protect herself, her family, and witnesses.
Additionally, she expressed worries that Eumir’s connections might affect the legal proceedings.
Princess wrote, “A bigger part of the reason why I’m making this information public is because I’m seriously concerned about my safety, the safety of my family, and the potential witnesses of this case against Eumir.
“It is not a secret that Eumir, being a well-recognized athlete, has also gained support and protection from his connections who are very much capable of influencing the outcome of this case.
“They may also try to fabricate lies to fit their narrative and potentially discredit my experience, but I urge you to focus on the facts and based your judgement on the evidence we have at hand.
“This is also why I feel strongly about my intention to share this truth to the public, a truth that not only represents me but so many women who have had to deal with their abusive husbands, and who may have felt silenced or powerless to defend themselves.”
In her closing remarks, Princess shared her deep sadness over Eumir’s betrayal, saying the hurt is overwhelming.
She hopes that by voicing her experience, she can find strength and help other women in similar situations.
Princess believes in divine justice and asks for prayers for healing and safety for her family.
“Our marriage means a lot to me, because it has divine blessing guided by the knowledge that it is also the foundation of every family.
“How Eumir disrespected his vows to God and to me by cheating on me and continuously deceiving me had hurt me in unimaginable ways.
“I don’t think I can ever survive the pain, but my hope is that by speaking up, and in a way help other women who may have been suffering in silence, would give me the strength to continue in fighting for what is right in front of God who stood as a witness to our marriage.
“I’ll leave it up to God’s hands to see that true and righteous justice be served to Eumir and his mistress.
“Thank you so much for your time and understanding. Please continue to help pray for me and my family’s healing as well as our safety throughout this process.”
EUMIR MARCIAL ISSUES STATEMENT
Eumir rejected his wife’s allegations in a statement to Zamboanga City’s local media, including RMN Zamboanga and GMA News, on Saturday, January 11, 2025. This statement was initially livestreamed on Facebook.
During this livestream, which had been removed but later reposted by Princess herself, Eumir asserted that he did not physically abuse her, explaining that her bruises were a result of him defending himself when she allegedly turned physically aggressive.
Eumir told the press, “Ang totoo niyan, hindi totoo ang lahat ng sinasabi niya sa akin Dahil unang una, kung sinasaktan ko siya, bakit siya magkakaroon ng ganung pasa lang? Bakit siya magkakaroon ng pasa sa paa?
“Dahil siya yung nagsasaktan sa akin. Prinoprotektahan ko yung sarili ko na huwag akong saktan. At natatamaan ko siya dahil sa pagpoprotekta ko sa aking sarili, at nagkakaroon siya ng pasa.
“Do you think na dahil sa pananakit ko sa kanya, na gusto pa rin niya sa akin mag-stay? Ginagawa niya ito sa akin ngayon dahil ayaw ko na nga makisama sa kanya dahil sa ugali niya.”
Eumir also explicitly denied the cheating allegations, stating that his wife never caught them in the act.
He mentioned that the screenshot his wife shared was actually from a video showing physical violence directed at his alleged mistress.
Eumir said, “Alam ko na lahat ng mga taong bayan ngayon, nakikita yung picture kung ano yung pinost niya.
“Yung sa likod ng picture na yun, hindi talaga picture yun e, video yun. Video yun na sinasaktan nila yung babae, dalawa sila ng kapatid niya, na pilit kong pinoprotektahan.
“Walang nangyayari na pagtataksil dahil hindi naman… pumunta siya dun sa akin na hindi naman… hindi niya kami hinabol na nakapatong o may ginagawa nang bagay.”
Eumir further highlighted that his marriage had been troubled long before this incident occurred.
“Nandun lang ako, unang-una ay gusto ko po ay liwanagin ang lahat na kaming dalawa, hindi na kami maayos.
“Taon na bago pa nangyari yung itong insidente, hindi na kami maayos. Hindi na maayos yung relasyon niya dahil parati kaming nag-aaway, parati niya akong sinasaktan.
“Alam ng mga kaibigan ko yan, alam ng pamilya niya, ng mga kapatid niya. Alam nila lahat yan. Kung dumating man kami sa punto ngayon, alam nila na mangyayari ito dahil sa ugali niya.”
EUMIR MARCIAL: JUST FRIENDS
Providing more details on the altercation between his wife and alleged mistress, Eumir explained that it took place after the Paris Olympics.
He stated that the alleged mistress is merely a friend he met in Makati City, and happens to be a fellow native of Zamboanga City.
Recalling the incident, he said, “Nangyari yun bago pagtapos ng Olympics, hindi na kami nagsasama dalawa, hindi na kami natutulog na magkasama, nakatira kami sa isang bahay. Minsan ako, lumalabas, pumupunta sa mga kaibigan ko.
“At yung babae na nakita nila sa video, kaibigan ko yun… ah sa picture, kaibigan ko yun na isang beses na pinuntahan ko kasi taga-Zamboanga siya e.
“Nagkita kami sa Makati, coincidence na nagkita kami. Taga-Zamboanga pala, nag-usap. And then, ayun, nagsama. Actually, nung nagsama kami, may kasama siyang kaibigan nung nagsama. May kasama din ako.”
Eumir explained that his wife started accusing him of cheating after she found the girl’s wallet in his car, which he maintains was accidentally left there.
He said, “Accidentally, nahulog niya yung wallet niya sa sasakyan. So hindi ko inasahan na nandun pala yung wallet niya, nahulog. Maliit na wallet, nahulog sa sasakyan.
“Tinago ko, nilagay ko sa bag, at umuwi na siya ng Zamboanga nun e. And then, nakita ng asawa ko yung wallet niya. Dun nagsimula lahat yung paghinala niya, ganun.
“Ginawan niya na ng istorya na ganun, may babae ako. And then, kinontak nila yung babae, inaway nila lahat.”
Eumir clarified that he met the girl at the Airbnb room she had rented for two days to help her retrieve the wallet.
“Yung babae na kababayan natin dito sa Zamboanga, kinausap sila at gusto kunin yung wallet. Gusto lang ibalik yung wallet.
“So pumunta ng Maynila para kunin yung wallet. At ako, nag-iinsist ako na tulungan ko siya, puntahan ko siya. So nung time na yun, nag-book siya ng hotel sa condo, pinuntahan ko siya dun.
“Actually, inabutan kami 12 P.M., hapon na. So pinuntahan ko siya, yun pala sinusundan niya na ako kasi may pagdududa na siya, kasi hindi na maayos yung ano namin…
“Sinusundan niya pa run. So pinuntahan ko yung babae para tulungan siya na kunin yung wallet niya, dun kami inabutan. Dun kami inabutan na… Wala namang ginagawa, nag-uusap lang kami.
“Nandun, kung gusto nila malaman, kunin nila yung full video kung paano nila sinaktan yung babae.”
