Nintendo Switch 2 gamers warned to avoid 1 serious mistake with their new console – Nintendo
We’re just days away from millions of gamers getting their hands on the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, after years of waiting.
Fans around the world will either queue up, or wait eagerly by the door, to finally hold the new Nintendo console, and there is one mistake that we’ve all been urged to avoid.
The warning comes directly from Nintendo themselves, as they provided vital information about the new console’s screen.
A health and safety document has been released by Nintendo, and it specifically notes, “The screen is covered with a film layer designed to prevent fragments scattering in the event of damage. Do not peel it off.”
There was a similar film over the screen of the OLED Nintendo Switch, which would also prevent debris should the console be dropped or knocked into, breaking the screen.
This is because the screens on the hardware are glass, and as careful as you might be, it could be broken simply.
You might be wondering, why are we being warned about this?
Well, you know just how satisfying it is to peel off protective films used to stop scratches in transit, and the last thing Nintendo wants is people trying to return the console after realising their mistake.
And it’s a simple mistake to make, if someone were to believe this is a temporary protection.
It may seem like a no-brainer to some, but the warning is welcome, as if this is removed, and the console dropped, the resulting shards of glass would become a hazard for all, but especially young children.
So, no removing the protective layer, you’ve been warned.
Gamers will be thrilled when the console finally emerges this week, with millions of them swarming the Nintendo servers to battle it out on Mario Kart World, or download the latest games.
