Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics Update Adds Rewind, CRT Filter And Controller Remapping

Nintendo has shared a new video showcasing the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics update that will be pushed live to coincide with Nintendo Switch 2’s launch next week.

Those with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription have access to an ever-increasing library of Nintendo 64 classics, such as GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Banjo Kazooie and Pokémon Snap.

On Nintendo Switch 2, your access to these games will be enhanced with three new features that have been highlighted in the video:

  • Rewind: If you make a mistake, easily rewind gameplay and try again!
  • CRT Filter: Give classic games an old-school look!
  • View / Change Controls: Check what each button does in the game you’re playing and freely remap button functions to your liking.

The app will also receive an update for those continuing to play on the original Nintendo Switch, but this will only add the View / Change Controls option.
