A 35-year-old Nigerian national was shot and killed in Los Baños, Laguna.

The incident took place on a Monday during a birthday celebration attended by Nigerian nationals and some Filipinos.

Based on CCTV footage, a commotion could be heard from the upper floor, suggesting that something was happening upstairs.

Moments later, gunshots rang out, prompting guests to flee in panic, while others locked themselves in their rooms to stay safe.

An armed man, also a Nigerian, was seen holding a gun. Despite a woman’s efforts to stop him, he still managed to shoot a couple more directed upstairs.

In the aftermath of the incident, a 35-year-old Nigerian national was seen lifeless in the bushy area near the resort where the incident happened.

He sustained a gunshot on his stomach.

In an interview by GMA 7’s ’24 Oras Weekend’ with the authorities, witnesses said the issue started from an arguement by the Nigerians.

It rooted four months ago when they had an arguement that lead to a physical fight in Cavite.

After the incident, authorities went to the house of the gunman and his two other alleged accomplices, however, they found nobody.

However, the 49-year-old alleged gunman was eventually arrested when authorities was right on time when they saw him leaving their subdivision in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

The alleged suspect refused to give any statement about the incident. Meanwhile, his two alleged accomplices are still at large.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
