News anchor Alvin Elchico moves to TV Patrol weekday edition

From serving up the weekend news to delivering the news every weeknight.

Veteran ABS-CBN anchor Alvin Elchico will move up to TV Patrol‘s daily news program after serving as newscaster for 13 years on the program’s weekend edition.

The announcement was made on Sunday, September 1, 2024, as Alvin bids TV Patrol Weekend and his co-anchor Zen Hernandez goodbye.

Alvin expressed his gratitude to everyone behind the program, the entire news department, and the network’s top executives for their continuous trust.

Alvin informed viewers that he’s moving to the daily TV Patrol program aired every Monday to Friday.

Alvin will fill up the slot left by fellow news anchor Henry Omaga-Diaz, beginning on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Henry surprised the public on Friday, August 30, after announcing his departure from the news program and ABS-CBN following years of working as a broadcast journalist.

Henry will migrate to Canada to be with his wife and to spend more time with his family.
