Nature’s Nursery Center to host Animal Masquerade fundraiser event for wildlife rescue and education

MAUMEE, Ohio (WTVG) – Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation is celebrating 35 years of saving local wildlife with a fundraiser on Oct. 16 where guests can SEE animals and BE animals, according to a spokesperson for the event.
The Animal Masquerade and Moore event (formerly called It’s For The Birds and Moore) will welcome guests to attend dressed as their favorite animals with costumes, masks or animal print attire.
The Animal Masquerade and Moore, sponsored by the Moore Family, will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at The Pinnacle in Maumee.
According to organizers, guests can experience the following at the event:
- Wildlife Meet & Greet: An opportunity to meet some of the Nature’s Nursery Animal Ambassadors and learn about the various species that are native to our area.
- Silent & Live Auction: Bid on unique items, with all proceeds going directly to the center’s mission of rescuing and rehabilitating injured or orphaned wildlife.
- Raffles & Games: 50/50’s, wine bottle ring toss and more.
- Delicious Cuisine: Catered heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.
All funds raised from the Animal Masquerade will go toward supporting Nature’s Nursery’s efforts to care for over 3,600 sick, injured and orphaned wild animals each year, according to representatives of the center.
Allison Aey, executive director of Nature’s Nursery, said the Animal Masquerade is a celebration of the center’s dedication to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation and support from the community.
“The Animal Masquerade is not only a fun and festive way to raise awareness, but it’s also a reminder of the vital role wildlife plays in our ecosystem,” said Aey.
Tickets will cost $80 per person, $150 per couple and $500 for tables of eight people, according to the center.
Early reservations are highly encouraged.
