Capcom has revealed the PC specifications for Monster Hunter Wilds, with players raising concerns given their similarities to a previous game.
At a minimum, players will need an Intel Core i5-10600, Intel Core i3-12100F, or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card. The game requires 16GB of memory, 6GB of VRAM, and 140GB of storage. These specs target a 30fps frame rate, 1080p resolution (upscaled from 720p), and Lowest graphical settings.
For a higher-end experience, Capcom recommends an Intel Core i5-11600K, Intel Core i5-12400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor. For the graphics card, the recommendations include NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT. These specs target a 60fps frame rate (utilizing frame-generation tech), 1080p resolution, and Medium graphical settings.
Users on ResetEra have noticed that these specifications are quite similar to the ones that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has, which has them worried. Capcom acknowledged that the PC version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 had performance issues, including inconsistent frame rates and other optimization issues. However, there’s no indication at this point that Monster Hunter Wilds will launch with similar issues.
