May 22’s Epic Store Mystery Games May Be the Best Offer of the Year
It’s once again an exciting time on the Epic Games Store, as the yearly mega sale is on from now until June 12. As per tradition, the mega sale has made Epic’s usual free games into mystery games, and players won’t know what they can add to their libraries at no cost until they’re free from the vault and up for grabs. The first mystery game is something impressive typically, but the second mega sale mystery set may have blown the first one out of the water already.
Players have three games they can grab for free on the Epic Game Store’s free games page until May 29 at 10 AM CT. At that time, the next two games will be rotated in, so players should make sure to grab what the Epic Games Store is giving away before then if they’re interested. It’s hard to imagine that some players wouldn’t be, as Sifu, Gigapocalypse, and Deliver At All Costs are the freebies available, with the latter being a brand-new release.

Here’s a list of all the games that have ever been made available for free on the Epic Games Store.
Epic Games Store Free Game Gigapocalypse Explained
For those who enjoy old-school giant monster movies, Gigapocalypse is the game for them. While it may not be among the scarier kaiju games out there, it speaks to what it was like to play with monster toys as a kid, tearing down obstacles and roaring at anything in the figure’s path. In Gigapocalypse, players will have a choice of specific kaiju to play, and they’ll get options to customize them as their monster levels up. Across the past, present, and future, players will need to care for their kaiju by mastering skill trees and raising them like Tamagotchis to best the final bosses at the end of every scrolling level.
Epic Games Store Free Game Sifu Explained
Many gamers may already be familiar with Sloclap’s brawler title. Sifu was already given the mystery game treatment by Epic last year, serving as the last free game for December 2024. Now, players have an entire week to take on the challenge of hunting down the killer of the protagonist’s family with the help of an amulet that resurrects them when they die, but ages them as the price for the chance to try again. There’s a great window of opportunity here for those who enjoyed the Sifu episode in Secret Level to immerse themselves in a similar story to the one they saw beautifully adapted to TV, and the game certainly won’t disappoint with its 4.8 star rating on Epic and Strong OpenCritic rating.

Epic Games Store Free Game Deliver At All Costs Explained
The showstopper of this set of mystery games, and possibly the entire mega sale free games lineup, is Deliver At All Costs; a brand-new title that just released the moment Epic made it available for free. As the title suggests, Far Out Games’ debut title has players honor the classic postal phrase “rain, sleet, snow, or hail, we deliver what you mail” by taking it completely up to eleven. Mastering all kinds of vehicles, making a mess of a world where everything can be destroyed, and solving citizens’ issues from the mundane to the bizarre are just the tip of the iceberg for deliveryman Winston Green. With such a fun premise and a generous opportunity, players shouldn’t miss out on the hilarity, chaos, and dark intrigue Deliver At All Costs provides.

It isn’t every day that a brand-new title is given away for free on the same day it’s released; the last time frequent EGS users had this chance was March last year with Astro Duel 2. There are two more sets of mystery games expected for the remainder of Epic’s mega sale, but it’s hard to imagine the platform giving away anything more exciting than a fresh title like Deliver At All Costs. The mega sale has managed to pull off two surprises in two weeks, though, with last week offering AAA game Dead Island 2 at no charge. There might still be a few tricks up Epic’s sleeve, so fans should stay tuned.
