On her Instagram page, @marjbarretto, she uploaded a reel containing snippets of the support she has gained from the public about her decision.

According to Marjorie, after much thought, she has decided to return to public service, which has been challenging and terrifying at the same time.
However, she has also gained a renewed sense of purpose with this decision to enter politics.

“After a lot of thought, prayers, and clear signs, I filed my COC for City Councilor yesterday under #TeamAksyonAtMalasakit. These past few months have been quite a journey… the thought of going back to public service after more than 10 years has been challenging, terrifying, and exciting. Grateful to Mayor Along Malapitan and Congressman Oca Malapitan for their trust and confidence in me. I have gained a renewed sense of purpose,” she wrote.
