I have iPhone notifications on my Mac enabled. I noticed a large number of apps on my iPhone have “Show on Mac” enabled in settings on my iPhone, but don’t even show up in the list of apps under the Notifications from iPhone settings on the Mac. Some I know used to be there are gone.
There’s no rhyme or reason to which apps are missing, but I’d estimate about 25% that have a “show on mac” option are simply missing.
Notifications work for the ones that are there and enabled. I tried forgetting my Mac on the phone and re-adding it, but that made no difference.
Some people have fixed it by wiping and restoring their iPhone. I was able to fix it by offloading and reinstalling the apps that were missing (post #33), or by deleting a certain folder on my Mac (post #62).
Thanks. I am only missing less than 5% of the apps I have installed on my iPhone and I don’t care about the vast majority of them showing notification on my Mac, but there’s a few I’d like to.
I confirmed that offloading, waiting about 30 seconds and reinstalling a missing app made it appear in that folder you mentioned and also caused it to show up in the notification list on my Mac. I didn’t even have to restart my iPhone or Mac.
