Since upgrading, Sequoia has created Documents and Applications “folders” (I guess) on my Desktop and placed the few items I had in those folders instead of leaving them where I put them. Nothing seems to remain on the left side of the screen. Instead, a second column on the right side has become the home for these folders.
How to I stop it from making these folders, and get it to let me place items on the left?
Note: When some files that were temporarily on the Desktop were deleted, leaving only one behind, that new Documents Folder disappeared.
