JK Labajo, in one of his most recent interviews, recalled the time he reached out to his biological German father, Oliver Stolz.
Previously, JK was interviewed by Ogie Diaz on the latter’s YouTube channel, with the video being 40 minutes long on the site.

During the interview, JK recalled how he got his dad’s number after seeking the help of the online community back in the day.
Eventually, JK did get his father’s contact details and recalled messaging him on WhatsApp, where he introduced himself.

“I was able to find my dad’s number, I messaged him. During that time, hindi ko alam sasabihin ko eh. Sabi ko, ‘Hi, my name is Juan Karlos Labajo. I’m the son of Maylinda Labajo. I’m not sure if you know but she passed around 2013. I’m not asking for any financial or material aspect from you, I would just love to get to know you,'” JK recalled during his lengthy interview with Ogie on YT.
However, instead of a response, the message was seen before he got blocked on the texting app.
“Tapos seenzoned, blocked. Ang sakit kasi biglang nag-jumpcut dun sa naramdaman ko when I was a kid na, ‘Bakit? Anong ginawa ko? Anong kasalanan ko? Anong mali ko?’ I was brought back to that feeling that I felt when I was 8 years old, when I had that first question of why. Umiyak ako nun, sobrang hagulgol,” JK recalled, revealing that he cried about it afterward.

Juan Karlos Labajo, also known as JK Labajo, is a singer-composer and the frontman of a band that carries his own name, Juan Karlos. He rose to fame after becoming one of the top contenders in the popular talent competition “The Voice Kids Philippines” in 2014. He placed third in the said contest, just right behind Darren Espanto and Lyca Gairanod. After The Voice, JK appeared in various shows and flicks on TV. Aside from his acting career, JK is also known as the voice and creator of the songs ‘Buwan’ and ‘Ere.’
As previously reported by KAMI, JK Labajo just made netizens laugh on social media. Earlier, a video of JK performing at a concert, went viral on Instagram. User @fttmph uploaded the video of JK being stunned by what a fan did. Needless to say, JK’s reaction had netizens laughing hard online.
Meanwhile, JK Labajo, in his latest online post, penned a sweet message for Dia Mate. On Instagram, the “Ere” hitmaker called Dia his “sweet baby” as well. He even uploaded a stunning photo of Dia on his Instagram gallery. Needless to say, JK’s post was met with positive comments online.
