Jeraldine Blackman of The Blackman Family took to social media to share more about her personal life, just a day after revealing that Mario Vallejos — the foreigner many assumed to be her biological father — is actually her stepfather. In a new post, Jeraldine addressed the question many have been asking: “Who is my real dad?”

“My biological father is from the Philippines,” she wrote, along with throwback childhood photos of her with her grandfather (“Tatang”) and uncle. Jeraldine explained that her parents separated when she was still a baby, and her mother had to work overseas. As a result, Jeraldine was raised by her maternal grandparents, “Inang and Tatang,” along with their seven children — her uncles and aunties. “We all lived in one house that’s why all my childhood photos that I’ve been sharing are all with my uncles and aunties and grandparents because they were the one who raised me,” she shared.

She went on to say that although life was tough growing up, the hard work and sacrifice of her extended family — including her mother, the eighth child of Inang and Tatang — helped them rise above difficult circumstances. As for her biological father, Jeraldine said, “He still lives in the Philippines, he is healthy and well. Hopefully one day I get to meet him so he could meet Jette and Nimo and tell him all about my life.”
