Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina look forward to married life

Engaged couple Jerald Napoles and Kim Molina look forward to their next journey as husband and wife. They first met in 2014 during the staging of “Rak of Aegis The Musical,” where they played Tolits and Aileen, respectively, at the PETA Theater Center.

“It was really something that I looked forward to for many years,” Kim exclaimed regarding her engagement. They previously opted to keep their relationship secret since they belong to a small community of theater performers.

The two sometimes go back to how their love story started to reminisce and have fun together. Jerald said, “It’s really for fun like, ‘Naalala mo nang tumatakas pa tayo noon? Pag may nakakakita sa atin akala mo naman KathNiel tayo. May mga ganoon pa ako noon, Tito Boy. Arte-arte natin akala mo naman ‘ay nakita ko si Kim.’ Wala naman gaganoon sa atin.”

Aside from love, the couple spices up their relationship with tons of laughter. Jerald described Kim as a sweetheart. “Kahit hindi ako iyong kasama niya ngayon sa buhay, I think iyon ang best na katangian ni Kim na swerte kahit sino ang makakasama niya. She’s a sweetheart. She brightens up anyone’s day.”

Their relationship extends professionally as they help each other on their respective acting projects. Kim shared that Jerald would teach and give her valuable pieces of advice on how to attack her roles since the actor is her senior in theater.

“Kapag meron po akong project binabasa niya iyong script. Pinapabasa ko tapos manghihingi ako ng advice sa kanya kung paano ko ito gagawin. Siya talaga iyong nagtuturo sa akin sa script and everything. Then kapag naman nabasa na niya, gagawin ko na iyong kunwari linya. Babasahin ko sa kanya tapos magbibigay siya ng note. So siya talaga iyong nagtuturo sa akin.”

According to them, staying in one house together is advantageous when preparing for a project and studying the script. They recently topbilled the movie “Un-Ex-You,” which revolves around an independent woman who searches for her former beau after discovering that she may soon lose the ability to give birth.

The couple decided to move in together during the pandemic. Jerald explained, “Mag-isa lang po ako sa condo. Mag-isa siya sa condo. Mag-isa rin ang nanay ko sa bahay. Susunduin ko si Mama, titira sa atin, so tatlo tayo. Iyon lang muna ang concern natin kasi pandemic.”

Kim’s conservative parents were against the living arrangement when they were informed via Zoom. Jerald exerted immense effort to earn their trust. “Pinatunayan niya na talagang inaalagaan niya ako. Mag-re-report siya sa parents ko. Mag-me-message siya,” Kim said.

All’s well that ends well as Jerald is now very close to his future in-laws.
