Inanunsiyo ng Miss Universe Organization (MUO) ang pag-atras ni Miss Universe Panama 2024 Italy Mora sa kumpetisyon.
Sa kanilang pahayag na inilabas kahapon, November 1, 2024 (November 2, PH time) sa kanilang website, ito ay napagdesisyunan daw ng kanilang disciplinary commission.
Sa kanilang isinagawang full investigation, lumabas na ang tanging resolba lamang sa isyu ay ang hindi pagtuloy ni Panama sa competition.
Narito ang full statement ng MUO:
“The Miss Universe organization regrets to announce the withdrawal of Panama’s candidate from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. This decision has been taken after a thorough evaluation by our disciplinary commission.
“The disciplinary committee, charged with maintaining the integrity and values of the pageant, conducted a full audit of the matter and, based on the information gathered and reviewed, has concluded that withdrawal is the most appropriate course of action under the current circumstances.
“It is important to note that we made this decision with the utmost respect for all parties involved. Our number one priority remains the welfare and transparency for all of our candidates, who exemplify diversity, talent and dedication.
“The Miss Universe organization wishes to stress the importance of maintaining confidentiality and respect during this process. Over the years, our pageant has been a beacon of diversity, inclusion and empowerment for women around the world.
“In this regard, adhering to strong ethical principles, such as confidentiality and respect, is essential to maintaining the integrity of our organization and the well-being of our participants.
“Confidentiality is a fundamental pillar of any disciplinary process. By protecting sensitive and personal information, we not only ensure fairness and equity in our decisions, but also the dignity of all involved.
“As we move forward, we reaffirm our dedication to these principles, inviting all our participants, supporters and media to join us in this commitment. We kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of our Panama candidate during this time and to avoid unnecessary speculation that may negatively affect all parties involved.
“We would like to thank you once again for the continued support and understanding of our community as we work together to ensure that Miss Universe continues to be a platform for inspiration and positive change in the world.”
PAGEANT SITES, NETIZENS SPECULATE POSSIBLE REASONS OF miss PANAMA’S EXIT
Sa haba ng statement ng Miss Universe Organization, hindi nito nilinaw ang totoong dahilan kung bakit nga ba umatras si Miss Panama sa pageant.
Pero maraming haka-haka ang lumabas sa mga pageant sites at mga netizens na masugid na sumubaybay sa mga aktibidades ng Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
Ayon sa Pageant Aficionado page sa Facebook na may 467K followers, diumano, nagkaroon daw ng hindi pagkakaintindihan sa pagitan ni Italy Mora at ng kandidata ng Dominican Republic na si Celinee Santos Frias.
Mag-roommate pa raw ang dalawa.
Nagkaroon diumano ng away ang dalawang beauty queen at humantong ito sa sakitan.
Post ng page, “CONTEXT: PANAMA and DOMINICAN REPUBLIC are roommates, apparently DOMREP really has bad attitude and superiority complex especially over amongst the Latinas, thus if you notice no other Latina girls are mingling with her.
“They had a fight and Panama just couldn’t handle DOMREP’s toxicity and she hit DOMREP. DOMREP hit her back but because PANAMA made the first contact, she was labeled the aggressor.
“PANAMA left the hotel with her NATIONAL DIRECTOR, not because of some romantic or sexual context but because they couldn’t handle DOMREP’s treatment of PANAMA.
“It’s for their safety and peace of mind. MISS UNIVERSE ORG surprisingly use this technicality as a reason to disqualify her. Apparently nobody approves them to leave and transfer hotel, but ND said they have no choice during that time given the urgency of the matter.
“There are ‘big bosses’ that are rooting for DOMREP to win but there are still few influential members of the organization who had known even before the attitude of this queen. #MissUniverse2024“
Ayon naman sa Philippine Pageants page na may 765K followers, tinanggal daw talaga sa competition si Mora dahil lumalabas daw ito ng hotel na hindi nagpapaalam.
Ayon sa post, “OMG! Is this true? Miss Panama is expelled in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant.
“Here’s full caption from Universal Queens page: BREAKING NEWS PANAMA IS ELIMINATED
“The Miss Universe organization expels the candidate from Panama Italy Mora for indisciplined. The exact reason is not yet known but rumors point that she left the hotel without permission and there are those who indicate an internal conflict with her roomie Miss Dominican Republic.
“Is this first time in Miss Universe history to expel an ongoing participating candidate for an alledged misbehavior?”
Ayon naman sa komento ng isang netizen, may attitude daw si Miss Dominican Republic.
Sabi naman ng isa pa, isinama daw ni Miss Panama ang boyfriend nito sa kuwarto nila ni Miss Dominican Republic kaya daw sila nag-away. 
PANAMA’S NATIONAL DIRECTOR, ITALY MORA’S BF ISSUE STATEMENTS
Naglabas naman ng pahayag sa Instagram si Cesar Anel Rodriguez, ang National Director ng Miss Universe Panama.
Pero, Spanish ang kanilang salita.
Mabuti na lamang at may isang Facebook page na nagbigay ng buod sa kanyang paliwanag.
Gayunpaman, hindi pa rin niya sinabi ang totoong dahilan ng pag-atras ng kanilang kandidata.
Ayon sa page, “Italy Mora is a very young woman she committed an error that Miss Universe organization cannot permit and the decision was made by the org to withdraw her from the competition this morning.
“About the error that was committed I don’t want to disclose since we had an agreement to protect the candidate that we have still our respect for her and will continue as Miss Universe Panama 2024.
“She is not gonna be dethroned and will continue her reign together with the organization. Unfortunately she cannot continue in Miss Universe but just to remind everyone that we commit errors and it was done by her and what is done is done. I don’t want to get into details.
“I know it’s difficult time but I sincerely ask for everyone to respect her please don’t judge her, please don’t attack her coz what she’s going through is not easy. She will have a bright future ahead as she is young and brilliant.”
Pati ang boyfriend ni Mora ay pinabulaanan din ang mga akusayon ng netizens.
Sa kanyang Instagram, naglabas si Juan Abadia ng kanyang maikling pahayag ukol dito.
Ayon sa AFAM Hunter page, “Juan Abadia the boyfriend of Italy Mora Miss Universe Panama 2024 denies the rumors that her girlfriend had a fight with Dominican Republic nor she went out of the hotel with him. The rumors are not true. So before you post a context please verify first if it’s true.”
Panawagan naman ng maraming pageant fans, dapat tanggalin din si Miss Dominican Republic at hindi lamang si Miss Panama.
Sa ngayon, wala pang makapagkumpirma kung ano nga ba ang totoong dahilan ng pag-atras ni Mora sa pageant.
Wala pa ring makapagsasabi kung totoo ang mga lumabas sa mga pageant sites.
Lalaban sa 73rd Miss Universe si Chelsea Manalo ng Pilipinas.
Sa ngayon, may 129 na bansa ang maglalaban-laban sa korona sa dating na Miss Universe 2024 na gaganapin sa bansang Mexico sa darating na November 16.
