Hixson I Heart Mac and Cheese closed

HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF) —  I Heart Mac and Cheese Hixson location officially shut their doors September 23, 2024.

I Heart Mac and Cheese had their first opening on Monday, July 17, 2024.

It is now September, and they have chosen to shut their doors due to circumstances out of their control.

Their notice posted on the front door reads, “Monday September 23, 2024, we have decided to close our doors due to circumstances beyond our control. Thank you for supporting us and making I Heart a special place that we will always remember.”

This came to a shock for many locals many did not expect such an abrupt close.

Aly Chakur, a loyal customer says, “…I thought their customer service base was really good. When I come in here, it’s never empty and there’s always people in here. Macaroni and cheese is a Staple in America, everyone loves it.”

We have reached out to the owners to find out what caused that abrupt closing, but we have yet to hear back.
