BE:FIRST Releases New Single “GRIT”, an Electric Tribute to Hip-Hop and EDM – Out Now

Japan’s genre-defying supergroup BE:FIRST has released their new song, “GRIT”. Fuelled by raw ambition and razor-sharp energy, the track dives deep into early 2000s hip-hop nostalgia — reimagined through a bold, modern lens. It reflects the group’s signature intensity and celebrates their evolution as artists stepping confidently onto the world stage. The track was co-written by SKY-HI, Kavi (Tommy Richman, KenCarson, LUCKI), and Colby O’Donis (Usher, Lady Gaga, Kelly Rowland). The track was released with a music video, where the visuals blend global hip-hop influence with unique Japanese playfulness, aesthetic, and humour. BE:FIRST is a Japanese boy group managed by BMSG and signed to B-ME, a joint record label with Avex. The group was formed on August 13th, 2021 through a reality audition program ‘THE FIRST’, which was hosted by Japanese producer and rapper SKY-HI.
