Garden calendar for the week of Aug. 18

Gardening classes: Dane County Extension is presenting its fall Green Thumb gardening class series.

This online series will give you the practical knowledge to keep your home garden thriving! Dane County Extension Educator Lisa Johnson will provide in-depth and accessible information for everyone from the novice to the experienced gardener.

Most of the seven classes are on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. starting Sept. 26. Two classes in the series are on Tuesdays, also 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All classes are recorded, and registrants will have access to the videos and copies of the PowerPoint slides for each class. Register for the complete class series at a discounted price ($70) or individual classes ($12 each) according to your interests.
