Galaxy S24 gets September 2024 security update in Europe

Samsung has finally released the September 2024 security update to the Galaxy S24 series in Europe. Due to the One UI 6.1.1 update that was released to the Galaxy S24 and several other recent high-end phones and tablets, the release of the September 2024 security update was delayed by a couple of weeks.

The new software update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra is now available across Europe. It comes bearing firmware version S92xBXXS3AXHD and has a download size ranging from 288MB (Galaxy S24) to 451.53MB (Galaxy S24 Ultra), depending on the model. It brings the September 2024 security patch that fixes 67 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.

If you have a Galaxy S24 series phone and live in Europe, you can now check for the new software update on your device. To do that, open the Settings app on your phone and navigate to Software update ยป Download and install. Soon, you will be able to download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually using the Odin tool.

The new update doesn’t bring any new features to the Galaxy S24 series and is solely focused on improving the privacy, reliability, and security of the phones.

Samsung is expected to open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series sometime later this month or by mid-October. One UI 7.0 is based on Android 15, and it is expected to bring a revamped UI design featuring a new two-page Quick Panel, a new battery icon in the status bar, a new charging animation, improved animations and transitions, and new icons for some stock apps.
