Epic Games has announced that Fortnite players will soon be able to claim a free loading screen and pickaxe by logging into the game between June 3 and June 10. A prominent Fortnite leaker surprises players by suggesting that Epic Games could be eliminating one of the title’s game modes.

According to a recent announcement by Epic Games, players will be able to claim the Assault on the Death Star loading screen and the Quicksilver Baton Spear pickaxe simply by logging into Fortnite between June 3 at 9 AM ET and June 10 at 9 AM ET. The Quicksilver Baton Spear belongs to Captain Phasma in Fortnite. While Captain Phasma is on the island as an NPC, players can also claim the skin by purchasing the LEGO Fortnite pass. For players who are signed up for Fortnite Crew, the whole LEGO pass is included with the subscription.

Fortnite‘s Galactic Battle season is scheduled to end after the upcoming Death Star Sabotage live event on June 7 at 2 PM ET. While there’s no way of knowing just how long downtime will last, many fans are hoping that they will be able to play Chapter 6 Season 3 later in the day on June 7. However, since these updates can be quite large, it’s possible the game could be offline until June 8.
