Former Sun Dario Saric signs for rival Warriors
Dario Sric, a former Phoenix Sun who is known for his versatility and shooting ability, has signed with Golden State Warriors. The 6’10” Croatian was drafted by Orlando Magic 12th in 2014, before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on draft night. He played in Phoenix for parts of three years between 2019 and 2023, averaging 13.5 point per game, starting 122 games. He missed the 2021-22 season due to a ruptured ACL.
Saric and former Suns point-guard Chis Paul will reunite in San Francisco. reportedly, was a “vocal fan” of the team signing Saric. They were teammates for two and a quarter seasons in the Valley.
Golden State acquired the 12-time All Star Paul from Washington Wizards earlier this offseason in a blockbuster deal that was centered on Jordan Poole.
Paul averaged 14.3 points per game in his 18th season with the Association. His 8.9 assists and 1.5 thefts were also impressive.
