FNATIC Teases Austin Fans with Cryptic Tweet, Gamers React
FNATIC put out this cryptic tweet, and the gaming world has been buzzing about it. What it means is literally unknown for now. The org had just posted a one-liner that read, “for all the austin enjoyers out there” with a useless link. Yet, the gamers are all out there spinning it into a dozen different theories, memes, and chaotic replies.
So, who or what is this “Austin”? Is that a player? Is that a location? Is it some kind of new esports event? Your guess is as fair as the next. The tweet did not give any sort of clarification, yet the replies went crazy. Then there was this sister out there with Twitter handle @crashiesblohsh, who, in her own words, calls herself “#1 Aussie Crashies fangirl,” responding in all caps: “YOU SHOULDVE TAGGED ME.” Meanwhile, another user @Narlox19 confessed, “I really thought this said autism enjoyers at first,” and upon second thoughts, well, yeah, I really did too. The internet messes with your head real good.
And random cat-saving theory: @lunvlr called out to @ryotavlr, “former cat saviour,” to which @GiuVLR replied, “Thank @ryotavlr for saving my cat, you are an hero ❤️.” Relevant? No way. But following that train of thought certainly is fun.
Some responses were downright direct. @Freqari asked, “Can you announce your r6 roster now,” and @Azuritewy speculated, “Fnatic at Austin Major?” Is this a clue affirming tournament appearance? Or is it one weird inside joke? We shall never find out.
There is always room for chaos, much like @angeloherman_ with the cryptic interjection: “You guys know shagidi Sha po po? it’s out now yt biniph.” Translation? Wish I knew. But I feel that.
The media attached to the tweet, whether image or video, has yet to be unveiled fully; however, if we measure by the numerous FNATIC teases, this one should be one of the proper first steps leading to a big announcement. Could it be a big signing? A collab? Or just FNATIC being FNATIC and trolling their audience for the fun of it (wouldn’t be the first time).
FNATIC definitely knows how to get tongues wagging. Whether this will lead to an actual real-time reveal or simply leave the community in on more confusion-making for another couple of memes, the reply section alone is worth the entry price. So keep an eye out for the phrase “Austin enjoyer” (whatever that’s meant to be). Something is about to happen. Or maybe it isn’t. That’s what makes vague tweets fun.
Oh, gotta wait, for now. But given that it’s like history repeating itself, FNATIC wouldn’t hold out on us for too long. Or maybe they will. Who knows? The net is a really strange place.
