Flint entrepreneurs invited to first ever summit to help small business owners

FLINT, Mich. – The inaugural Immerse Entrepreneurial & Small Business Summit was recently held at the Gateway Hotel and Convention Center.

The event was hosted by the Flint & Genesee Small Business Support Hub in partnership with the eTEAM and was sponsored by the Flint CRA Bankers Forum and The State Bank.

The free event featured a keynote speech from Leonard Fox, the Vice President of Operations, North America, at Lear Corporation and small business owner.

Breakout sessions in key entrepreneurial topics such as strategies for E-Commerce success, accessing Capital and balancing health and Business rounded out the event.

“Events like this are important because our community is very rich in resources, and sometimes it’s difficult to navigate those resources. In today’s event, all of those in all those resources are here under one roof,” said Karena Hamlet, business services director for the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance. “I think there has been a very positive reaction. Having the opportunity just to network with others, bounce ideas off the ball with others, I think it’s a great opportunity.”
