The Department of Justice gave assurance that justice will be served in the case filed against a 2-Star General.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said they have not yet received any formal complaint involving s*xual abuse within the military forceIn the initial investigation, two male soldiers filed r*pe and attempted r*pe complaints against the 2-Star General.

According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and as reported by TV5’s ‘Frontline Tonight,’ the high-ranking officer has already been relieved from his position.

The said 2-Star General was also reportedly in a house arrest inside a military camp.

Moreover, the alleged suspect already denied the allegations filed against him by the two male soldiers.

In the 2-Star General’s counter affidavit, he denied the allegations of the two soldiers.

“I vehemently deny the above allegations for lack of factual basis and evidence.”

“Complainant are strong, able-bodied military officers who could easily overpower me…”

“…they are not under duress nor I used firearm or any bladed weapon, nor I used force, threat, or intimidation against their will.”

“They could have easily left my room, as they had free access to the door, or used force to prevent the unlawful act.”

“We will look at it in a way that in the end, we will get justice for the people who were aggrieved. Siyempre, ‘yung mga naapi dapat magkaroon ng hustisya,” said Remulla.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in ‘Unang Balita,’ the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school’s faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
