Doc Willie Ong has finally filed his COC today, October 3, at the Manila Hotel.

This time, he is running for senator in the coming 2025 elections.
However, due to his current health condition, he was not able to file his certificate of candidacy personally.
Instead, he was represented by his wife, Dr. Liza Ong, and their legal counsel.

It can be recalled that Doc Willie has recently announced that he is battling abdominal cancer.
“Magandang araw po sa lahat sa inyo. Andito po ako, and may bahay ni Doc Willie Ong para ireprsent siya for senator,” said Dr. Liza Ong who was a little emotional while giving out her statement.

Born on October 24. In 1963, Dr. Willie Ong was a cardiologist who served as a consultant for the Department of Health from 2010 to 2014. He graduated from the De La Salle University College of Medicine in 1992 and earned his Master’s in Public Health degree from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2002. He ran for vice president in the 2022 Elections.
In a previous report by KAMI, Doc Willie Ong, through his social media pages on Saturday, revealed that he is battling abdominal cancer. A day after the announcement, the cardiologist penned a lengthy and meaningful post about his condition. Although he considers himself fortunate because he receives good medical care, he still feels downhearted that many Filipino patients can never avail of such treatment. The health advocate then vowed to help such people should he recover.
Doc Willie Ong recently made a shocking revelation on social media. On Saturday, he announced that he had been diagnosed with abdominal cancer. Following the announcement, Doc Willie expressed gratitude to his supporters. As per the cardiologist, he can really feel the love and concern of many Filipinos.
