Do you care if games offer high refresh rates on mobile?
I’m a big fan of high refresh-rate gaming. My personal PC is 165Hz, and I play Rocket League every night at that frame rate. It’s a huge benefit. But on the smaller screen, I can see how many may not care if their frame rates are high. Still, ever since Apple came out with an iPad with a high refresh rate (primarily to lessen latency when using the pen), more and more manufacturers have included high refresh rate screens in their devices. It’s a benefit for regular use, lessening the impact of dropped frames the Android UI still can’t shake to this day, ensuring a smooth experience. For gaming, first, you need games that support high refresh rates. So you are limited in your selection. But for the games that do support the feature, I would say they play better for it. Dead Cells is amazing at 120Hz, super smooth.
But I know I’m a bit of a performance snob, so this got me wondering how many out there actually care if their mobile games support high frame rates. So, hit the comments to share; I’m really curious to hear what everyone thinks of high refresh-rate gaming on mobile.
