Did Pia Wurtzbach fake attendance at Carolina fashion show?

“This should be a non-issue,” said a friend of Pia Wurtzbach, addressing accusations from some netizens who claimed she misled the public into thinking she attended a recent fashion show in New York.

“The brand had no problem with it. They understood. I don’t know though why it became a big issue to some? Does it make them happy, fulfilled informing the universe about it?”

That was the only reply of Pia’s friend, who requested to do it anonymously because, “I can’t talk like it’s the official statement because she does not even know that I replied to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainemnt Portal).

She also led PEP to the second source, “Call this person, she may know what happened because she was there and was able to talk to Pia that day.”

PIA WURTZBACH’S “FAKE” ATTENDANCE

The alleged “fake” attendance was speculated after the Miss Universe 2015 queen shared a video on social media last September 12, 2024, from a Carolina Herrera show at New York Fashion Week, featuring the designer’s collection.

Eagle-eyed followers pointed out that the footage uploaded by Pia was not hers, but from Style Not Com, a popular fashion page on Instagram that feeds the public about the latest trends, news, and insights in the fashion industry.

Some fans accused her of not attending the event and instead using the video taken by another party to create that impression.

DID PIA WURTZBACH MISS THE CAROLINA SHOW?

PEP contacted the second source who said the video was put out not to mislead the brand.

“It was acually an agreement with Carolina Herrera because Pia arrived late.”

She added, “Brooklyn is 45 minutes away. 1.5 hours ang travel. Driver arrived late. So 10:00 a.m. ang show, 10:30 a.m. nakarating si Pia.

“Her agreement with Carolina Herrera na lang was to post videos of the show and of her wearing the dresses for the extra look.”

The second source reiterated, “Again, the video was posted not to deceive people but as part of the agreement with the brand.”

In an Instagram Reel posted just now, 12:03 a.m. of September 16, Pia confirmed, “We missed it,” referring to the Carolina Herrera show.

And unfazed by the “fake attendance” allegations, she wrote in the caption, “I’m pumped and ready for more! Don’t get too hyped. I’m just warming up.”

The recent New York Fashion Week ran from September 6 to 11 in New York, U.S.A.
