Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig was crowned the 73rd Miss Universe.
She claimed the title at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant held in Mexico City, Mexico.
The runners-up were Venezuela (4th), Thailand (3rd), Mexico (2nd), and Nigeria (1st).
This marks Denmark’s historic first win in the Miss Universe competition after 73 years.

During the Question and Answer portion, Denmark’s answer was:
“No matter where you come from, no matter what your past is, you can always choose to turn it into your strength. It will never define who you are, you just got to keep fighting. I stand here today because I want a change, I want to make history and that’s what I am doing tonight. So, never give up, always believe in yourself, and your dreams, and that is exactly what you’re going to do.”

Additionally, Chelsea Manalo, Philippines’ candidate for Miss Universe 2024, was speechless after receiving a comment from American supermodel Tyra Banks. In one of her Instagram pinned posts, Chelsea received support from Filipino celebrities, personalities, and beauty queens. To her surprise, Tyra Banks also commented by writing, “Get it, girl!!!!!” Overwhelmed by the support coming from the host of ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ she shared Banks’s comments in her Instagram stories.
