‘Charot, eme’: Korean superstar Kim Soo-hyun delights Manila fans anew

— The “Queen of Tears” star Kim Soo-hyun thrilled his fans who trooped to the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City as he gamely played with them and bantered with his practiced Filipino slang, including the terms “Charot” and “Eme,” at his fan meeting last night.

The Korean superstar was in town for his “Eyes on You” Asia tour.

Soo-hyun’s charming smile radiated throughout the night as he indulged thousands of his fans who filled the Big Dome on a Saturday night.

He sang some hits, including “Wherever You Will Go” by The Calling and “All of Me” by John Legend.

Like many fan meets with popular actors visiting, Soo-hyun also teased his fans with some memorable memories from his dramas. At one point, he recreated a scene where he shouted the name of Hae-in, the female character played by Kim Ji-won and who is romantically involved with his character Baek Hyun-woo in the smash hit drama “Queen of Tears.”

He ended another successful fan meet by singing the OST of the said drama titled “Way Home,” and teased that he might be back to the country this year.

Soo-hyun last visited the country in January 2023 for fan meet organized by one of his many endorsements.
