Canadian Manufacturing reopens in Cebu, reinforces

With roots dating back to 1959 under its predecessor, New Creation Manufacturing, the company initially produced bed sheets, comforters and towels. Over the years, it expanded into children’s wear and eventually became Canadian Manufacturing in 2003, continuing to grow under the same corporate umbrella.

The newly opened Cebu office doubles as a showroom tailored to institutional clients like hotels, hospitals and spas. The space showcases products on actual bed displays to help clients customize orders according to their specifications.

“This office is really more for mass production and customized clients,” explained Daryanani in an interview. “Hotels and hospitals require different specifications — from fabric type to pillow firmness — so having this space allows us to show and build exactly what our clients need.”

Canadian Manufacturing’s commitment goes beyond products. Sustainability is a key part of its mission. The company has installed solar panels to reduce its carbon footprint, uses Oeko-Tex certified fabrics and compliant dyes and has shifted 30 percent of its packaging to fabric instead of plastic.

“We’re one of the first companies to use fabric packaging,” noted Daryanani. “Our goal is to further increase that percentage. It’s all part of contributing to climate change reduction through renewable energy and sustainable practices.”

Daryanani also emphasized the company’s plans to deepen its involvement in Cebu’s community. “In Manila, we’ve been active with orphanages and educational support for our staff’s children. Now that we’re back in Cebu, we’re looking forward to engaging in CSR initiatives here too,” he said.

While Canadian Manufacturing is primarily known for its institutional supply, its products are also available to homeowners through major retailers like SM, Shopwise and Robinsons.

Daryanani concluded with a reminder: “Please support local. Canadian Manufacturing may sound international, but we’re a proudly Filipino company — founded here, grown here and still standing strong after 66 years.”

The opening of the Mandaue branch reinforces Canadian Manufacturing’s long-standing mission to provide high-quality, customized products while advocating for sustainability, wellness and community engagement.
