Calling all animal lovers! The Blessing of the Animals is back at Holy Trinity Church.

Bonham, Texas — In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Bonham will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in front of the church.  Furry, scaled, or winged – all critters are welcome to receive a special blessing from an Episcopal priest.  

 

WHAT: A beloved tradition honoring St. Francis of Assisi, who lived in the 12th century and is the patron saint of animals and the environment. An opportunity to celebrate our faithful companions, including dogs, cats, and various critters.   

WHO: All Bonham and Fannin County residents, visitors, and friends with their beloved pets in tow, on leashes or in cages. Event led by the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church staff and volunteers.  

WHEN: Saturday, October 12, 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. 

WHERE:  Outdoors on the front lawn of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, at the corner of Star St and 7th St, at 623 Star Street in Bonham, TX 75418.
